- Be a part of 24x7 monitoring team to triage and handle security incidents from SIEM and other security tools.
- Perform and assist security analysis, incident response and investigation activities.
- Document findings and assess the damage they cause.
- Install security measures and operate software to protect assets.
- Day-to-day coordination and collaboration with a wide array of IT groups, Information Security teams, business units, and client delivery teams.
- Govern the queue during the shift to avoid SLA breaches and ensure critical incidents are handled in time and with accuracy.
- Guide junior analysts on escalated incidents and take ownership for high/critical incidents and drive to remediation and closure.
- Support in creation of playbooks for new use cases.
- Participate in the agile process to incrementally drive improvement in triage process, reduce time to detect & response, use case fine tuning, metrics etc.
- Develop and deliver required metrics and reports.
- Develop process and procedure documentation for security platforms / controls managed by SOC.
- Research security enhancements and make recommendations to management.
