Senior Business Analyst is responsible for eliciting, defining and managing business requirements from stakeholders using structured business analysis tools, techniques and methodologies, to ensure that Technology delivers IT product(s) that successfully meet those needs, and that our customers experience is positive, and expectations are met.

bp operates a discipline-based organization and Senior Business Analysts may be deployed to work in different areas of our business over time. You will bring the transferable skills which will allow you to support an immediate business demand, and to grow your skills over time through exposure to different business areas.

Our Senior Business Analysts are individual contributors and are accountable for understanding the needs and objectives of stakeholders, which may include executives, managers, and end-users.

The role will enable the definition of business requirements and user stories for technology product development, improving processes and software systems, reducing their costs, enhancing their sustainability, and the quantification of potential business benefits. Furthermore, it is expected that collaborative creation and iteration of viable specifications and acceptance criteria in preparation for the deployment of digital products is a key aspect of this role.

In This Role You Will
This role will be primarily involved in Midstream digitization initiatives, accountable for requirements analysis and management, determining the most appropriate means to represent business requirements in the context of technology features and capabilities for the product, platform functions and features and overall digital solution

• Gather, document, and validate project and process requirements
• Analyze workflows to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities
• Create visual process maps (flowcharts, swimlanes) to define current vs. future state
• Use data insights to support recommendations and decisions
• Evaluate solutions, lead UAT, and ensure successful adoption
• Build strong stakeholder relationships and manage expectations
• Promote safety and security culture across all initiatives
• Vendor Management incl. escalation: Performance Management and Governance
• Requirements engineering including estimation
• Scrum participation; test scripting: Documentation
• E2E Process analytics: Flow and value understanding
• E2E lights on monitoring and test automation

What You Will Need To Be Successful

• Bachelor's degree or certification in IT, CS, or related field
• 6+ years' experience in business analysis and digital product delivery
• Strong analytical skills and solution design experience
• Familiarity with AWS, React, Azure, and Power Platform
• Skilled in Agile practices and tools (e.g., Azure DevOps)
• Effective communicator across technical and business levels
• Experience in change management and stakeholder engagement
• Self-driven, able to work in global virtual teams

Desirable Criteria

• Experience in supply chain/logistics and SAP integration
• Familiarity with Scrum, Kanban, and large-scale systems implementation
• Understanding of data modeling, governance, and compliance
• Strong cross-cultural awareness and emotional intelligence
• Skilled in requirement gathering and stakeholder engagement
• Agile mindset with focus on continuous improvement
• Prior energy industry experience is a plus
